September 14, 2023: After finalizing expenses for WADS and CCCG, there are funds available for a limited number of travel awards for early-career researchers. Eligibility criteria are as follows:

(1) applicant must have attended either WADS, or CCCG, or both. (2) applicant is a graduate student (Master’s or PhD), or a postdoc, or a researcher within the first 5 years of the completion of their PhD.

In order to be considered for the award, students and postdocs are required to provide at least one letter of support from their supervisor(s) to be sent to denis.pankratov@concordia.ca by September 29. The support letter should mention student’s scholarly achievements, student’s scholarly potential, any special circumstances. Please, use the following email subject: “WADS & CCCG 2023 travel award support letter”.

The final amount of travel support and eligible expenses for any awardee will depend on their status as well as the number of eligible applicants. If you want to be considered for the travel award, please fill the form (link below) no later than September 29. Please fill the form only once.

September 13, 2023: WADS 2023 best student presentation award goes to Max van Mulken for the presentation of the paper titled “Density Approximation for Moving Groups” co-authored with Bettina Speckmann and Kevin Verbeek. Congratulations, Max!
